Will EA launch The Sims 5?

Sims has been on the market for a long period of time, namely from the year 2000, and has since introduced various refreshing features. Even if the company struggled at the beginning, EA and Matrix have launched many DLC packs with a great amount of content. The latest release was Sims 4 in 2014 and people are starting to wonder when the next launch will take place.

EA’s current agenda

More DLC packs for The Sims 4 will come in order to fix some issues such as adding toddlers and implementing additional options regarding jobs, locations, outdoor activities and different paths to take the characters on. Moreover, the company has been focusing on developing “The Sims Mobile” which is a more profitable project than the PC version.

Daniel H., the game designer of “The Sims 4”, announced his departure on Twitter, praising this collaboration and his meetings with the game fans. According to SimsVIP, the mobile team has gained more and more people due to a massive change in employment with EA on LinkedIn profiles. However, it’s not entirely certain if EA wants to improve the Sims 4 and the mobile app or to launch a new game. Shifting to the mobile platform department may or may not affect the postpone the improvement of The Sims 4 or other future releases.

Is The Sims 5 the next step?

EA takes between three and five years to launch a new Sims game – The Sims 2 in 2004, The Sims 3 in 2009 and The Sims 4 in 2014. If the company is sticking to this pattern, the next Sims series is just around the corner. By even having the option to travel into the future in Sims 3, the next Sims game would have to be legendary.

There have been rumours regarding the game announcement even if the company is careful about leaks. It may be released later this year or next year. Maybe EA will launch The Sims 5 after they have added enough content for the current Sims.

Android Malware Found In Low Cost Phones

In December 2016, the Russian antivirus vendor, Dr. Web, revealed that various mobile carriers had been infected with malware. Dr. Web helped with finding malware in at least 26 low-cost Android smartphones and tablets and it followed a period of no such incidents. However, the incident is still happening and expanding today.

Difficulty in finding the culprit

Avast, a cyber-security firm, is having a difficult time tracking the moment when the malware is inserted in devices because there are too many affected ones. The criminal operation infects a device the second it has the opportunity to access its firmware. But Avast did manage to take down the group’s command-and-control server, but they simply infected another hosting provider until the domain registrar discredited their domain name.

The only common element found in infected devices in over 90 countries is that they all have a Mediatek chipset. However, if Mediatek was the culprit, how come just a handful of devices for a specific model harbour the malware and not all of them? It wouldn’t make sense.

More signs of malware infection

Avast released a report on May 25th mentioning that the group has continued their operation. As in Dr. Web’s reports, the malware hasn’t been updated and operates in the same way. Avast published a list of over 140 Android tablets and smartphones which have Casiloon, the group’s malware. However, there are times when the malware won’t download – when the public IP is from a Chinese IP range, the language is set to Chinese and when the apps installed internally are more than three. Avast hasn’t been able to confirm that avoiding Chinese users because of law enforcement attention is the reason for the group’s strange activity.

The group seems to be interested in generating revenues only through ads. In almost all cases, ads are displayed on the Android interface itself or on top of other apps. The malware runs from the “/system” folder to connect to a remote server, downloads an XML file and then grabs any app the group choses and installs it without any user influence.

Playstation 5 Release Date for 21 is Doubtful

Rumors about launching the next generation of PlayStation in 2018 or 2019 are not true, the product might be released in 2021, unfortunately.

The next generation console will be based on CPU and AMD GPU technology, it will have more RAM and more storage than PS4, that’s easy to predict. To materialize the future PlayStation 5, Sony seems to continue to work with AMD and will opt for an AMD Navi graphics chipset in tandem with an AMD Zen processor. It would also integrate the onboard VR hardware and not put as many components on the VR helmet itself.

The 2021 release is still doubtful

While others suggest that 2019 could be a good year to launch the console, Sony seems to want a release in 2021. Sources point out that this date of 2021 is not entirely fixed, because it is such a big project, and programs can change a lot. Moreover, not even the vast majority of game developers would have been informed about the launch of the future PlayStation 5.

Working on other projects

Studios are currently working on the appearance of PlayStation 4. The chances are therefore very small for the PlayStation 5 to be launched before 2021 as it has to be able to handle some games available.

It’s important to note that Sony will not take out PlayStation 4 now or in the near future, of course. The system is still selling well and there are plenty of exclusive titles for it. If last year 19 million consoles were sold, the forecast for this year is only 16 million units, and the downward trend will most likely continue, but people still buy it.

Regarding the future of the PlayStation 5, it is expected to have a slightly changed design and a hardware that will take the most consuming games.

Pokemon Go 0.105.0 Update with Software Tweaks and Bug Fixes is Now Live

Pokemon Go is one of the most popular mobile games in the world with more than 10 million downloads only on Google Play Store. The mobile game was released back in 2016 and to everyone’s surprise, the game developer managed to keep the content fresh and entertaining over the years. The biggest issue that game developers usually have to deal with is keeping the active player base entertained and the only way to do this is through regular updates.

Pokemon Go 0.105.0 Update

With that being said, Pokemon Go fans should be happy to know that a brand-new update has just been released. The update sports the 0.105.0 version number and it features a handful of software tweaks which improve Pokemon Go’s stability. Not just that, but the update is also packed with bug fixes which make sure that Pokemon Go never crashes in the middle of a play session.

Improved Stability

Even though some Pokemon Go fans might be upset to find out that the new update doesn’t contain any new content or in-game features, the update is still very important. Just imagine how annoying it would be to go out in the park and search for Pokemon only to have the game crash every other minute.

Fortunately, that type of stuff is never going to happen with Pokemon Go because the game developer who is in charge of it keeps releasing monthly updates which improve Pokemon Go’s stability through software tweaks.

Fun Gameplay

Since we are talking about Pokemon Go, we need to mention that this is one of the first mobile games to implement AR (augmented reality) technology. The use of AR makes Pokemon Go super fun to play and this is what gives it an edge over its competitors such as Clash of Clans for example.

Opera Mini 35.0.2254.12775 Update Download Available – Fixes “Speed Dial” Bug

People who enjoy browsing the web in their spare time, but hate using up all their mobile data and storage space while doing that should consider giving Opera Mini a try. This mobile browser is small in size and it doesn’t occupy too much storage space. However, the best thing about it is that it’s been cleverly optimized to not use all mobile data available.

Opera Mini 35.0.2254.12775 Update

While being able to save precious storage space and mobile data is one of the best things about Opera Mini, the thing that makes Opera Mini stand out the most is the rate at which it receives updates. The developers who are in charge of Opera Mini have made it a tradition to release regular updates that improve the mobile browser’s performance and overall user experience.

Fixed Speed Dial Issue

Just like any other mobile app, Opera Mini has its fair share of issues. On the bright side of things, these issues are quickly fixed through bug fixes. Take for example this new update which repairs a bug that caused the “Speed Dial” feature to malfunction.

Improved Performance

The new update is not only focused on fixing bugs, but it also comes with a couple of “under the hood” software tweaks that help take Opera Mini’s performance to the next level. Therefore, Opera Mini fans should make sure to get their hands on this new update ASAP.

Premium Features

On another note, let’s check out some of Opera Mini’s top features and see what makes it such a premium mobile browser. The first thing we need to mention is that Opera Mini ships with a pre-installed adblocker which gets rid of all annoying and intrusive ads.

Another cool feature that Opera Mini offers is the ability to download videos. Not everyone is willing to spend their mobile data on loading videos and Opera Mini allows users to download them while they are connected to a stable Wi-Fi connection.
