Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Switch Lacks a Series Of Important Features

A considerable number of gamers around the world rate Resident Evil 4 as being not only the best of its series but one of the best video games of all times, being considered by many ways ahead its time. Although having a great sense of charm to it, an element is certainly absent from the Nintendo Switch port, and that is motion control.

Although being enthusiastically expected by a large number of players, many of them expecting the Switch version to be the definitive version of the game, unfortunately, it came out a bit disappointing for some.

Resident Evil 4 on Nintendo Switch Lacks A Series Of Important Features

Apparently, on the Switch, there are no differences. There is no gyro and no HD rumble, and not many positive aspects updated. Although it is still 60 fps when trying to aim or move the controller nothing seems to happen, since there were no attempts to factor in the motion control that once made the Wii edition of the game to be so enjoyable.

Although you can access control options in-game, this is not the case for motion control enabling, which is quite surprising considering the special features of the Joy-Con controllers would make it easily replicable. Now Capcom is not really the one to put the blame on since it is obvious that the most facile option was to directly port the already existing HD version, especially when taken into account that most of the gamers will not even notice the fact that motion input is the mission.

However, you cannot disgrace the fact that this is enough reason to conclude that this is not the ‘definitive version’ of the game.

The Community Is Deeply Disappointed

Capcom could eventually patch motion controls later on, but it doesn’t really have to.

The community, however, is truly disappointed about this aspect and believes that “charging almost $30 for a 14-year-old game that lacks features the switch is actually capable of doing” is not the best strategy they could go for.

iOS 13 Beta Available to Install – What You Should Know Before You Proceed?

Are you considering whether you should get the new iOS 13 beta on your iPhone or iPad as soon as it is out? With just a couple of days away from Apple’s latest release, there are some things you must know before you jump right to it.

Firstly, if you thought of installing the iOS 13 beta, you must know that this version is actually an incredibly early variant of the software, and it is going to be infested with bugs and performance glitches. This is the way it is: betas are made for developers [and public] testing.

As a matter of fact, the initially stated features might not be included in the software launch after all, and you’ll only get replacements for it all over the OS.

Secondly, the beta software never operates nicely with your apps. So, if you’re getting the iOs 13 beta and your apps aren’t working anymore, it is what it is. That is because the apps haven’t been optimized and won’t be updated correctly up until the final version of the iOS 13 is officially launched later this year.

Also, first-party apps can break as well, apps such as Messages, Photos, Notes, Contacts, and so on. You must be very aware of this fact before you install the upcoming iOS 13 beta, for you will run straight into a world of bugs and performance issues. However, if you have an extra iPhone or iPad to spare with the intend to test betas, then you can proceed with no caution and see what Apple has in store.

Finally, if things will go as they last went, then you might not need to spend $99 to get the beta version of the iOS 13. Apple will probably release the iOS 13 beta for everyone as a public beta version.

As it is still in an early stage of development, we do not recommend flashing this ROM if you have little or no experience in software development or flashing custom ROMs.

Users that want to try the latest Android Q beta build should know that the software is still unfinished and will offer an unstable experience. • System stability issues
  • Cannot send SMS when VoLTE is on

  • Issue with MTP that doesn’t allow you to copy rollback file from PC to Phone

If you want to load the latest ROM upgrade, follow the instructions provided in the official forum post (link provided above). Remember that this is a developer preview, not a stable build. As always, make sure you have enough battery and minimum 3GB of storage space for the new upgrade. Also, make sure you backup your data before flashing your device!

Online Savings Accounts — The Right Choice for Your Emergency Fund

A 2018 study conducted by the Federal Reserve Board concluded that 40% of Americans are unable to cover an emergency expense of $400 without having to sell something or borrow money.

This perspective is extremely troubling as it means four in every ten people in the US will experience a financial crisis should they get laid off, have car trouble, or need to undergo medical treatment.

$400 may not sound like much, but that is until you need them and can’t get them.

So, how do you avoid getting in such an unfortunate situation?

The Solution to Unpredicted Expenses — Emergency Funds

What are emergency funds?

In a nutshell, that is money you have set aside to only use in times of dire need due to unexpected circumstances.

When are emergency funds necessary?

  • Sudden unemployment
  • Car breakdown
  • Health problems
  • House repair
  • Major appliance breakdown
  • Paying for damage inflicted on someone else’s property
  • Unexpected travel
  • Loss of a relative

The list goes on.

It is true you can’t predict when trouble will come your way, but surely you can be prepared when it does. Setting up an emergency fund in an online savings account is your safest bet. Why? Because with spiking interest rates on credit cards reaching an all-time high of 17.73%, getting into further debt is not something you want to do. But putting money aside is.

Your financial security depends on you having the best online savings account possible. Why not a regular one, a time deposit, or an investment account, you might ask? Because the money you invest in online savings accounts is more liquid, and you can easily acquire the funds at short notice.

What to Look for in a Savings Account

When you want to find the best online savings account for your emergency fund, you need to look for conditions, such as:

  • High Annual Percentage Yield (APY)

It shows how much your money could earn in a year. Unlike simple interest rates where you earn the same amount of interest each month, APY includes compound interest. Therefore, the higher the APY, the faster your money grows. Why? With compounding, the interest is earned on the money you put into the account, as well as on the interest you receive over time. This is why differences of as little as 0.09% in APY can have a big impact on how quickly your account grows.

  • No (or bearable) minimum deposit requirement

Some banks impose restrictions on the deposits they accept, so beware of those and whether the thresholds are bearable given your financial capabilities.

  • Easy to set up online

You can open the account from the comfort of your own home without having to set foot outside, waiting in line, and wasting precious time. And should you need further assistance, you always have a customer service representative at your disposal.

  • Lower fees

Online banks don’t have the overhead cost that brick-and-mortar ones have, so you get to enjoy higher rates and lower operational fees.

  • Good reviews

Look for reviews with substance that explain the actual benefits of having an online savings account with the bank you are interested in. Good reviews are ones that give an insight into investor experience of the services provided.

How Much Should You Put Away?

By now, you know why you need an online savings account and how to recognize a good one. The natural question of how much should you put away in your emergency fund arises. Best practices dictate you need to put away anywhere between one and six months of total living expenses with one month being the bare minimum. As this is not the same for each person, you need to carefully calculate your expenses.

You can take a different approach and decide on a set sum you want to set aside, but that is more difficult to plan and overall not recommended.

For reference, according to a 2017 Statista report, 31% of men and 20% of women in the US have more than $10,000 in their saving accounts. That, however, does not mean you should start with such sums if they are outside your capabilities. No minimum deposit restriction on your online saving account means you can start with smaller amounts.

Get Saving!

It may seem daunting if you are now starting to think about setting up an emergency fund but the sooner you begin, the sooner you will start gaining financial stability.

What Do We Have So Far?

The most recent update we got for the PlayStation was back on March 30th. Back then, we enjoyed the introduction of the feature that offered remote play for iOS devices. This allowed people to connect to the gaming console just by installing the PS4 Remote Play app.

A couple of weeks later, Sony also released the much-awaited PSN Online ID update. Finally, players could change how they appeared during the online games they played. Needless to say, fans have been waiting for years for this update and it had arrived at last.

What’s Expecting Us in the Next PlayStation 4 Update?

Tidux is one of the most famous Sony leakers, and they didn’t miss the chance to bring us some news about the future update. As such, the 7.00 update will come together will plenty of new features when it’s going to be released to the big public. Gifting games on the PlayStation Store may not be such a faraway possibility, from what it seems. This means that players will be able in the future to add various games to their wish list, and a third party can buy them as a gift.

Besides this, we may also witness some changes to the user interface. Among this, we can count trophy progression, as well as some stats and timelog for all the games you played until now. This translates to the fact that users will gain an insight into how much time they spend playing and how much they enjoy the games. Finally, PlayStation 4 update players will have the chance to pin games to the dashboard, thus accessing them faster and easier. Keep in mind that these are not official announcements, so take it all with a grain of salt.
