iOS 12.2 Jailbreak Impossible? Apple’s Latest Update for A12-A12X Devices

The recent iOS update from Apple reached version 12.2, and the next one should be released around September. While some users just go with the official iOS version, others want to jailbreak their devices to get access to more features, but also making them more vulnerable to threats. With this latest update from Apple, hackers are having a hard time jailbreaking the update.

The Last Jailbreakable iOS Version for A12-A12X Devices

The jailbreaking community had received some bad news over the course of the past two weeks when Pwn20wnd, the unc0ver developer announced that the iOS 12.0-12.1.2 jailbreak versions of the A12-A12X devices might be the last ones available.

Apple updated the iPhones and iPads to iOS 12.2 and Pwn20wnd, who is behind the iOS 11 and iOS 12 jailbreak and the most reliable person in the jailbreak history, said that he has no hope for future jailbreak versions for the A12-A12X devices (also known as arm64e devices):

Today, he added that users must stay on the current firmware and block all OTA updates and wait for the A12-A12X support. He also retweeted the previous message in which he announced that unc0ver was updated for (arm64e) support and they are waiting for Cydia Substrate update:

The unc0ver team keeps updating the iOS 12.0-12.1.2 jailbreak version to fix bugs and stability issued and at the moment, they’re working on the v3.0.0 which was recently in beta and has now been released for public testing.

iOS Jailbreak vs. The Official iOS

Will the next iOS updates allow jailbreak developers to hack the phones since Apple is working harder and harder on making the phones more secure? We can only see what the unc0ver team has to announce.

If you plan on jailbreaking your iPhone or iPad, you should know that there are many risks: you may expose the phone to viruses or threats, and the warranty from the manufacturer is terminated after you Jailbreak the device.

Minecraft Sold 30 Million Copies on PC 10 Years After Its Launch

No matter the platform, Minecraft and its editions sold over 150 million copies. The official tracker has shown that PC sales are over 30 million and still rising. It’s been ten years since the initial release to the public, and Minecraft does not let us down for one second.

In 2014, the console sales of this game exceeded the Mac and PC figures, and one year later, the Pocket Edition and the iOS editions have sold 30 million units.

Minecraft is still one of the most popular games out there

In October 2018, Helen Chiang, who’s the head of Minecraft had told some sources that the game as achieved over 90 million monthly active users, and, across all platforms, it has sold over 150 million units. It sure is not much of a surprise, but if you think about other gaming properties, it’s a fantastic achievement. Truth be told, the PC sales for Minecraft only have exceeded some lifetime sales for other franchises, that come with many sequels and many other installments.

It’s safe to say that Minecraft is the best-selling game that was ever made. We are to take a look at its beginning, it started small, and it’s possible that no game will ever reach these much sales again.

Fortnite Battle Royale is the most popular game released since Minecraft rolled out

Let’s take Fortnite as an example. This game is probably the biggest video game released since Minecraft, but it still has Epic behind it, and it clearly had a big company behind the scenes to work on it. Still, the sales are high for Minecraft, who had nothing at the beginning. We simply cannot deny its popularity.

Last week, the Minecraft update got rid of all the references to the Minecraft’s creator Markus Persson, from the splash screens, probably because of his Twitter.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades – Bethesda Gives Early Access For Player Feedback

This weekend, Bethesda announced that they’re opening the gates for The Elder Scrolls: Blades, allowing more players to get in the Early Access stage of the game. What were the first opinions from major reviewers? Unfortunately for the developer, most of the feedback was negative, all complains were surrounding microtransactions and the chests!

Let’s check out the post on Twitter from The Elder Scrolls:

As you can see, the developers have acknowledged the chest issue and are looking into getting more feedback from the players. If you haven’t tried to play The Elder Scrolls: Blades yet, here’s a few stuff you should know about and why the loot chests are so annoying.

Bethesda Tweaking The Game as We Play It

Player feedback is essential, and it must be taken into consideration. So, those who played The Elder Scrolls: Blades, might have noticed that while the grind is pretty big, and the side quests a bit dull, the game is free-to-play though. Nonetheless, looking at the majority of people writing about the game, the microtransactions are making the game unbearable – and here’s where we talk about the chests you find in dungeons. To open a chest, you have to wait from five seconds (if it’s a wooden chest) to six hours (if it’s a gold chest). Of course, you can skip the waiting with some premium currency. That’s where many players got frustrated.

Skipping past the waiting for chests, the plot is interesting. You’re a former member of the Blades group, and you come home and see everything ablaze. Your goal is to rebuild the entire place on your own. It sure is a lot of work ahead, and we can not wait to see how the story evolves!

For the players that will not invest any money in the game, waiting can be annoying, but let’s admit it, all free to play games with microtransactions add certain limits to the game to make a premium user feel like they’re getting their money’s worth.

How will Bethesda play the premium feel card? Will they tweak the chests and make players pay for other features? Will we see silver lockpicks added in the game for the chest to make them less disappointing?

We can only wait and see what the devs will announce, hopefully taking into consideration the player feedback. Check back here for more news and if you have some thoughts about the game, head over to The Elder Scrolls Twitter page.

The Elder Scrolls: Blades is available on Android an iOS, as an early access. If you haven’t signed up, check out this article to learn how to do it.
