Disney+ Streaming Service To Launch In November To Compete With Netflix and Amazon Prime

A number of companies such as Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have been walking into the growing streaming service industry over the past years in order to obtain massive audiences. The growth of the streaming industry has many factors backing it, which includes smartphones and the internet lowering its prices and the expansion of streaming apps to different devices. The next company to take advantage of the streaming service industry is Disney with its upcoming Disney+ platform.

Disney CEO Robert Iger shared on the Social Media platform a photo of the upcoming app, Disney+. The photo doesn’t show much about the app but it reveals its interface. The app has various categories, each representing a Disney franchise, like Marvel, Pixar, Star Wars, National Geographic and Disney itself. We can also see from the picture that the app has a ‘recommended for you’ and ‘continue watching’ tab in the interface.

Disney+ will be available on the web, browsers, smartphones, smart TVs, tablets as well as game consoles, same as the other well-known streaming services.

Disney+ to compete with Netflix and Amazon Prime starting with November this year

A deal for a PS4 version of the app has been made with Roku and Sony and it will support a multiplex of user accounts, offline viewing, and 4K HDR, Macrumors recently reported.

Disney+ will posture some severe competition to other streaming services as it will hold a lot of exclusive content, and will also deliver new TV shows ahead of the curve in its service. Numerous TV shows have already been announced, such as “Falcon & Winter Soldier”, and “WandaVision”, both based on Marvel characters. Another TV show based on Monters.inc, one other based on “High School Musical”, a Frozen 2 documentary, a Star Wars series, a live-action adaptation of “Lady and the Tramp”, two other projects starring Marvel characters Loki and Hawkeye, and so much more.

Macrumors added that all Pixar content will be available on Disney+ within the first year of release, also all Pixar’s theatrical shorts and all Star Wars films. The streaming service will be launched on November 12, 2019, having a monthly and annual subscription at the price of $6.99 and $69.99.

Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL Leak Revealed Their Price Tags in Canada

It is well-known that Google is currently working on two mid-range Pixel devices known under the name of Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL. According to a reliable source, the Pixel 3a will cost CAD 650 while the larger one, 3a XL, will retail for CAD 800.

The listing was obtained from a retailer backend database, and the source provided accurate information in the past. The two smartphones are listed under the codenames of Sargo and Bonito, and it seems that they will come with 64GB of built-in storage space. In comparison to the prices of the original models, the new line is quite affordable. However, they will have to compete with established brands like OnePlus, which offer lots of bells and whistles at the same price range.

While some doubted that the devices exist in the first place an earlier leak on the Google Store confirmed that they are real, with cases being listed under the accessories category. Clicking on either of the entries led to a 404 error, and they were quickly removed, but dedicated fans managed to snap some screenshots.

Possible specs for Google Pixel 3a and Pixel 3a XL

Another leak provided a few technical details about the pair. Data collected from the Google Play Console (which is used to observe and verify app downloads across different device models) suggests that the Pixel 3a will feature a generous 1080×2220 screen resolution with a pixel density of 440 while the XL version will sport a 1080×2160 panel with a lower 400 DPI.

The spec sheet includes 4GB of RAM, a Qualcomm processor ( most likely an older flagship SoC) NFC and the latest version of the popular Android operating system. The 12.2 single camera is rumored to make an appearance, a trait which should be a significant boon.

At one point a video was circulating the internet, showing what appeared to be a prototype of the Pixel 3a. The video was removed, and the YouTube channel which published the video seems to have disappeared into thin air (probably banished by a copyright takedown).
It is likely that more information will surface in the future.

Download YouTube Videos Legally, Without Third-Party YouTube Video Downloaders

YouTube is where we all head over whenever we want to watch a video. However, a stable internet connection is not always available. You might also have a mobile data plan that can’t keep up with all the high-resolution videos that you watch.

Fortunately for you, there is always another option. Many users have discovered that it is a lot simpler to download videos so that they can be watched offline as well. As an Android user, you should be glad to hear that Google itself provides a solution for you.

YouTube Premium

YouTube Premium was launched back in October 2015 as YouTube Red, and it describes itself as “a paid membership that gives you an enhanced, uninterrupted experience across YouTube, YouTube Music, and YouTube Gaming.”

You can access it as long as you live in New Zealand, Mexico, Australia, or the United States. You might have heard about this service before since YouTube Red used to be Music Key before. For those who do not know, Music Key was a free streaming service that was released in 2014.

Download YouTube videos to watch offline

YouTube Premium can be considered a premium version of YouTube. Users have to pay a fee, and in exchange for that, they receive numerous exclusive features. First of all, there is YouTube Originals access, which means that you will be able to watch exclusive shows from some of the most popular YouTube channels, including movies and series. More than that, YouTube Premium also gets rid of all types of ads.

Finally, YouTube Premium offers you the option to download YouTube videos directly on your mobile device. All the videos you save will remain available for 30 days only, however. This is the perfect feature for long trips when you won’t have a stable internet connection.

Alternatively, you can use third-party YouTube video downloaders, but that’s not recommendable since Google does not accept these services.

OnePlus 7 Confirmed Date of Release, Specs and Improvements

Due to the numerous leaks and rumors involving the flagship trio, we now have as much information as one can, with less than a month until the official release.

OnePlus 7 will be launched together with OnePlus 7 Pro 4G and OnePlus 7 Pro 5G models, and will be OnePlus’ first “notch-less” device because of its novel pop-up selfie camera. The back camera will contain a triple setup, 48MP, 20MP and 16MP lenses, also a first in the firm’s history.

The trio will be launched in May 14th, according to a leaked poster shared on Social Media by Ishan Agarwal. OnePlus 7’s price is still unknown but the rumors say it will start somewhere at  £499 and will reach £579 for the highest-spec model.

A leaked image shared earlier this week implies that the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G will contain a Snapdragon X55 chipset, and a Qualcomm built-in X50 modem which allows the phone to 5G connection.

The smartphones will also seem to have a 6.67 inch Super Optic display with curved edges. The absent notch suggests that it will have the same in-display selfie camera as the OnePlus 7 model. Another information implies that the OnePlus 7 will come with an 8GB RAM, 256GB storage and a triple camera setup containing a 48Mp, a 16Mp, and an 8MP sensor, along with Google’s Android 9 Pie OS.

The handset will have a volume adjuster on its left side, a power button and an alert slider on its right, the SIM card slot on the bottom, near the USB-C port.

OnePlus’ CEO Pete Lau reported that the OnePlus 7 won’t come with wireless charging support and will also not restore their 3.5mm headphone jack.

In conclusion, if it follows the release agenda of the OnePlus 6, then we can anticipate the new OnePlus 7 to launch in May, and a OnePlus 7T handset to follow later in the year.

New Facebook Lite Update: 142.0.0.10.100 – Tweaks to Increase Performance and Stability

The lightweight Facebook app has been available for Android smartphones for a few years. It is a great alternative for users that have low-speed connections or phones that have low specs.

No matter the version of the Facebook app – be it the main app or the Lite version, users get continuous updates that aim to improve user experience. Today we spotted the latest update for the Facebook Lite app (beta version), which reached 142.0.0.10.100.

Let’s check out what the update brings this time to the beta users.

Facebook Lite 142.0.0.10.100 (beta version)

For the users that are in the beta program, Facebook Lite has reached version 142.0.0.10.100 beta, which brings “Improvements for reliability and speed.” While this version hasn’t brought new features to the app, it does come with bug fixes and tweaks that should increase performance and stability.

Facebook Lite gets continuous updates, and this beta version is available to beta testers who have enrolled in the program. If you are one of the beta testers, you can get Facebook Lite 142.0.0.10.100 beta from APK Mirror by following this link.

Facebook Lite Features

Facebook Lite also has a very small file size, compared to the main app. While Facebook has around 57 MB, Facebook Lite only takes nearly 2 MB space – the reduction is over 90% in space. The Lite version of Facebook also uses less CPU and RAM for a good experience on cheaper phones that do not have enough power for the full app. Moreover, Facebook Lite works on older phones that are not supported by the app.

As we mentioned above, the Lite version also works on 2G networks and unstable internet connections. It uses less data and won’t show images in high resolution or autoplay videos. Other than that, you will get a fully featured Facebook. The design of the app seems a bit more dated, but it comes with all the features – like, comment, post and browse the news feed.
