Spider-Man PS4 Sold 3.3 Million Copies in Three Days, Surpassing God of War

According to USA Today, which allegedly have some intel from Sony, the God of War selling record went down, as the newly released Spider-Man PS4 game hit the mark of 3.3 million copies sold in just three days.

Spider-Man PS4 sold 3.3 million copies in just three days, surpassing God of War

After it sold about 3.1 million copies in 3 days after its launch, God of War had become the bestselling title among all the Sony Interactive Entertainment games.

That record, however, is now beaten as the recently released Spider-Man title for PlayStation 4 surpassed any expectations and sold 3.3 million copies in just three days.

A figure that could be even higher since the presented stats don’t include those sales made via the PS4 Pro Amazing Red bundle.

Spider-Man also set the record for the highest number of pre-orders and surpassed other famous superhero-themed

Another record set by Spider-Man is that of the highest number of pre-orders, as more than one million copies of the new Insomniac Games title had already been pre-ordered worldwide way before the release date.

Also, among the superhero-themed games, this new Spider-Man PS4 title surpassed all the games of the Batman Arkham franchise, in special the Batman: Arkham City title, which sold only 2 million copies in the first week after launch.

Batman: Arkham Knight had totaled about 5 million copies in its first four months, a sum that Spider-Man should surpass without any difficulty.

Additionally, Spider-Man made quite a buzz in the United Kingdom where it made the best video game launch of 2018, overcoming that of Far Cry 5. The most important stats would come from the United States, but only when the NDP will launch its next report in about a month.

Meanwhile, for the Spider-Man PS4 fans, there is some excellent news as three additional chapters would come soon.

Sony To Launch PlayStation Classic in December

After Nintendo with its NES Classic and SNES Classic, it is Sony’s turn to appeal to the nostalgia of players by offering a new PlayStation in a mini format which runs some of the most appreciated video games of the first generations of consoles. We’re talking about PlayStation Classic which will become available later this year.

The console will be sold with 20 preloaded games, five of which have so far been announced: Final Fantasy VII, Jumping Flash, Ridge Racer Type 4, Tekken 3, and Wild Arms.

PlayStation Classic comes with two controllers and internal storage

The new PlayStation Classic console can be connected to a display with an HDMI cable. Also, the new console will be sold with two controllers, while the data, such as in-game profiles, saves, and backups will no longer be made to a memory card, as it was the case with the first generations of Sony consoles, but to internal storage.

However, Sony has not specified whether the games will be preloaded into an internal memory or stored on a memory card, thus allowing it to enrich its game library later on.

In any case, we know that the console cover can be opened as on the original PlayStation and would allow you to change the virtual disk. But will we have other virtual disks launched along with PlayStation Classic? Sony did not give any details in this direction, so we don’t know yet.

PlayStation release date

PlayStation Classic would launch on December 3rd, 2018, and that’s not a randomly selected date. In fact, the first PlayStation was released on December 3rd, 1994, in Japan.

The new PlayStation Classic will, therefore, be available, on December 3rd for $100.

While the upcoming console would be a fascinating journey “back in time” as it allows gamers to play some of the most excellent titles that appeared on the first generations of Sony consoles, some of the PlayStation fans said that the new installment has to provide some very cool titles to worth $100.

Pokemon GO: Deoxys To Replace Mewtwo in EX Raids

On the official site of the famous game Pokemon GO, Niantic announced that the Mythical Pokemon Deoxys would replace Mewtwo in EX raids. Also, the developers also informed that Deoxys’ Normal Forme, which is one of the four forms of the character, will only be available via EX Raids, an event that requires an invitation to be played.

With the last Pokemon GO update, gamers can send an EX Raids invitation to one friend in their friend lists but only if he/she achieved Ultra Friend status or higher.

EX Raids in Pokemon GO is a controversial event

EX Raids are elite battles that give those invited gamers the opportunity to catch a powerful Pokemon at a specified moment, at a sponsored Gym location.

Since its emergence in Pokemon GO, EX Raids has been very controversial with some of the game’s fans showing disappointment. EX Raid changed eligibility criteria, and that hasn’t been received well by the players.

Niantic even apologized for any inconveniences, but they did not change much to tackle the gamers’ frustration.

However, those players who participate in raid battles in parks or at the promoted Gyms are more likely to be invited. Also, those who achieved a gold badge in one of the mentioned locations are increasing their chances to get an invitation.

Deoxys to replace Mewtwo in EX Raids in Pokemon GO

“On September 20 at 1:00 P.M. (PDT), Mewtwo will come to Raid Battles for the first time! Mewtwo has previously only been available to Trainers invited to EX Raids, but now all Trainers will be able to challenge the Legendary Psychic-type Pokemon until October 23 at 1:00 P.M. (PDT). So prepare yourself, and don’t miss your opportunity to encounter this powerful Pokemon before it disappears,” reads the official announcement posted by Niantic.

This message is confirming the recent news that Deoxys will replace Mewtwo in EX Raids.

GTA VI Release Date Speculations and Leaks

With GTA V being the beloved Rockstar title, many wonders when GTA VI will see the light of day.

There is no official information from Rockstar that they are working on a sequel, and they may have good reasons to keep it a secret.

Read Dead Redemption 2 will release next month. The open-world western game sequel took almost a decade be made as Rockstar aims to please the fans of the original. Announcing a GTA sequel now is counter-intuitive, as it would immediately shift the focus from Read Dead Redemption 2, and hurt the potential sales at the same time.

Another critical factor is that Rockstar usually focuses on one title at a time, refining the product until it reaches their established standard, and they are not afraid to take their time in order to deliver a masterpiece. A large part of the studio is also still focused on developing DLC for GTA V Online, five years after the initial launch. Over the course of these years multiple DLCs and expansions have added hours of free content, but they also took valuable time to make, another reason for that may have caused the delay of GTA VI. It took three years after the launch of GTA Online to announce RDR 2.  If RDR 2 has a similar component, the announcement of a GTA sequel may take place beyond 2020.

As the title appears to be in development limbo, fans crowd the forum with ideas and demands for it. A large segment demands that GTA VI should receive post-launch single-player content, which was skipped for GTA V as both Rockstar and 2K claimed that the single-player experience is already complete and there is nothing more to add.

Some demand more customizations features, including the ability to create your own character, one of the key aspects the made rival franchise Saints Row so popular. Other fans hope that it will be the first GTA to take place in another country, or even have a female protagonist.

What will come remains to be seen as Red Dead Redemption 2 hits stores on the October 26.

Pokemon GO Gen 4 Release Date and Alleged New Features

The Ultra Bonus reward is utterly enjoyed by Pokemon GO players, and they celebrate it with the increased spawns of Gen 1 and the legendary birds Moltres, Articuno, Raids, and Zapdos.

Excited for something new?

Mewtwo also seems to appear in legendary raids, and Niantic’s timing for it might give us a clue that the mobile game will offer more and more Pokemon appear.

However, Niantic will add Mewtwo to legendary raids at 9 pm BST on 20th of September, and until 9 pm BST on 23rd of October, it will not be missed from the raid battles. This day should also be one of the Halloween events which also got introduces last year in the Gen 3 Pokemon.

Unfortunately, we received no confirmation regarding this information, but maybe Gen 4 will bring players a new Ghost Pokemon for Halloween after 23rd of October and maybe a new legendary raid as well.

A different kind of news

When the header text code was firstly introduced, Pokefans were excited but not that Gen 4 got it removed, they are not as happy with this decision.

Ironically this bit of information was confirmed by renowned Pokemon GO leaked Charles.

Maybe (everybody hopes) that this was included by mistake and the Gen 4 Pokemon GO release is further from us than it seems.

With that being said, speculations do not stop coming, and many online hubs got us excited that the forthcoming Ultra Bonus might have something to do with Gen 4.

Now, as a little bit of advice before ending, do not set your expectations too high. No date was officially announced regarding the Gen 4, and unfortunately for you, we do not expect any to be offered soon either.
