Clash of Clans Issues And How To Fix The Most Common of Them

Supercell is renowned for its ability to create fan-favorite games. Among them, there are Clash Royale, Clash of Clans, and the more recent Brawl Stars as the company’s “greatest hits” in the world of mobile gaming. While Supercell is also paying a lot of attention to releasing updates and patches that add new content and fix bugs, there are still some errors that pass through to final versions of the games. Today, we’ll talk about Clash of Clans issues and how to fix the most common of them.

Clash of Clans, which launched in 2012, remains one of the most-played mobile games ever, and it’s still a significant source of revenue for Supercell. Even though the game frequently receives updates for new content, game modes, or to fix some bugs, there are still some Clash of Clans issues that annoy some players.

How to fix the most common Clash of Clans issues

Clash of Clans is not automatically installing updates

This error is still a widespread one among Clash of Clans players. Apparently, it’s due to an in-game bug, but, luckily, there is a simple solution to fix it. All you have to do is to force close the game and other apps that might run in the background, and then restart Clash of Clans.

In case that did not fix the issue, then go to Google Play Store and manually update Clash of Clans.

The game won’t load on your iOS device

Recently, Supercell decided to bring Clash of Clans to the next level, so users of iOS devices with an old operating system won’t be able to run the latest versions of the game. To play the new Clash of Clans updates on your iPhone or iPad, make sure that your devices are running iOS 9.0 or higher.

Clash of Clans is not loading on your Android devices

Sometimes, Clash of Clans is not loading on Android devices without any apparent reason. If you’ve played the game on your smartphone and tablet and, out of the blue, Clash of Clans stops loading when you open the app, then a corrupted cache might be the cause.

That is also one of the most common Clash of Clans issues, and to fix it, you have to go to Settings -> Apps -> Clash of Clans and tap on Clear Cache. Clearing the cache can also fix a whole bunch of other errors, crashes, and freezes in Clash of Clans.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Might Be Compatible With Pokemon GO

Pokemon GO is a mobile game developed and released by Niantic, available for Android and iOS. It was launched in 2016, gaining popularity extremely fast. By the end of 2016, Pokemon GO had been downloaded more than 500 million times by users all around the world. Pokemon Sword and Shield is one of the most expected releases of the year, having been officially announced on Pokemon Day, February 27, 2019, during a Nintendo Direct announcement.

At 2017’s E3 conference, Tsunekazu Ishihara, president and CEO of The Pokemon Company, announced their next game series would be released on Nintendo Switch, but no more information was divulged at the time.

Game Freak is the leading developer of Pokemon games for Nintendo, which also develops Pokemon Sword and Shield for Nintendo Switch. Rumors say the developer is planning to make Pokemon GO compatible with the newest release of the franchise.

Pokemon Sword and Shield Might Be Compatible With Pokemon GO

A Pokemon GO dataminer, Chrales, found evidence to back up the rumors of the potential compatibility between Pokemon Sword and Shield and Pokemon GO. Chrales discovered that while looking through the game’s code of the latest Pokemon GO 0.143.0. He came upon a new string referred to as “koala_settings,” which seem to be made for a separate app. The source says the name “koala.”

Chrales believes that “koala” might be the codename internally used to refer to Pokemon Sword and Shield. We already know Game Freak has a habit of matching each game with an animal or natural element, so the theory seems plausible. For example, Game Freak’s previous release, Pokemon Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee, went by the codename “beluga.”

None of the two developer companies made any official announcement yet, so the rumors that Pokemon Sword and Shield would be compatible with Pokemon GO should be taken with a grain of salt. However, we hope they are correct, as the possibility to connect Niantic’s augmented reality mobile game to Game Freak’s newest console game sounds extremely exciting.

Square Enix Teases Final Fantasy 7 Remake Again

Many Final Fantasy fans will argue that the seventh entry in the long-running franchise is without a doubt the best one. Now, Square Enix works on Final Fantasy 7 Remake, and the company released another teaser about it.

The original FFVII was released in 1997 for the original PlayStation, and it became a quick hit among the PS community. A major promotional campaign and excellent production values attracted near-universal praise from critics and players alike. Several publications awarded a large number of prizes to the game, which is also counted as one of the most influential and important video games of all times.

Square Enix teased a full remake of the title at E3 2015. The announcement was well-received by the community, and many looked forward to the release of Final Fantasy 7 Remake. The task was being handled by a third-party developer called CyberConnect 2, which published many PlayStation games, including licensed Naruto titles.

Final Fantasy 7 Remake, teased again by Square Enix

The studio ran into some development problems, and Sony decided to move the project in-house. The decision was based on the need to maintain high production and quality standards correlated with a reliable schedule. After the move was announced, a period of silence began. Some sources claimed Square Enix might cancel the game while others said that an extended development period should be expected for such a large-scale initiative.

The demand for a remake grew exponentially in 2005 when a tech demo which featured the opening segment of the game was showcased on a PlayStation 3 during the E3 convention. At that point Square Enix staff appeared to be against the idea of developing a remake, offering several reasons, including the wish to create new titles, the difficulties posed by a port and an extended development schedule. While the game offered a rich story, it is known that new content will be featured in the sequel.

A new cinematic trailer on Final Fantasy 7 Remake was released by Square Enix, featuring several iconic scenes. An official release date wasn’t announced. Game director Tetsuya Nomura noted that more information would be released in June.

The Last Of Us 2: Joel Might Become A Playable Character, A New Video Suggests

The Last Of Us 2 has been worked on and will soon be ready to launch, the Naughty Dog developing the upcoming series even though the grand finale of the first game was pretty decisive. However, fans of the game are not upset with the new next edition, but the contrary. Now, a video suggests that Joel will become a playable character in The Last Of Us 2

According to Gustavo Santaolalla, the game’s creator, the upcoming series will be launched sometime in 2019, but the game studio hasn’t released any confirmation yet. Besides the release date, another essential question players have regarding The Last Of Us 2 is whether Joel can be played or not.

The Last Of Us part 2 is the PlayStation 4’s most expected elite title, and there are, indeed, a multitude of motives to wish the game will be released in 2019. Director Neil Druckmann said in a recent statement that Laura Bailey’s act aided in exciting life to one of his preferred characters. Also, an intimate scene with Ellie and Joel, portrayed by Ashley Johnson and Troy Baker was just recently recorded.

Joel might be a playable character in The Last Of Us 2

A video which suggests that Joel will be playable has made the rounds of the internet, and it completes the limitless range of hypotheses regarding Naughty Dog’s much-awaited continuation of series. However, The Last Of Us 2 was unveiled at the PlayStation Experience annual event in 2016, and the studio’s director, Neil Druckmann repeated in 2018 the fact that Ellie is the only playable character in the new game series.

Sony had also unveiled an impressive demo of The Last Of Us 2 at the E3 back in 2018, and it seemed to be with a considerable measure more stunning than its first edition. Even if the game is until now only going to offer Ellie as the playable character, fans are still waiting for news regarding Joel’s position in the game.

A video released by Naughty Dog in March on International Women’s Day seems to disclose the fact that Joel will indeed be playable but only for a short period, according to YouTuber Tajae. The uploaded clip also revealed the series’ weapon upgrades UI. However, because the video isn’t clear enough, the idea of Joel having a part in the game should not be taken as evidence until officially confirmed.

Former The Last of Us Part II Game Designer Joins Microsoft’s Game Studio The Initiative

When the Studio Head of Game Studio The Initiative announced that developers like Brian Westergaard, Annie Lohr, Blake Fischer, Drew Murray (Insomniac), Christian Cantamessa (Red Dead Redemption designer), Tom Shephard (GTA V developer), and Lindsey McQueeney were joining their ranks, we could only think of one fact: a great game will come to Xbox sooner or later.

Last year, Microsoft founded The Initiative to build quality games that will be exclusive – think of Uncharted and God of War. Now looking at the lineup above, these developers have the resources to make it possible, considering they worked on triple-A games before.

Robert Ryan Joins The Initiative Team

Now another leader has been added to The Initiative, and it’s none other than Robert Ryan, former Naughty Dog, and The Motive Game Designer.

The news surfaced thanks to a post by Twitter user “Klobrille,” who wrote:

Another great talent for XGS. Former Naughty Dog and The Motive Game Designer Robert Ryan joined The Initiative as a Senior Systems Designer.

He added a screenshot of Ryan’s LinkedIn profile which shows that he is now the Senior Systems Designer at The Initiative.

Why is everyone hyped about Robert Ryan joining Microsoft’s first-party game studio? Well, he was behind games like The Last of Us: Part II, Uncharted 4, Uncharted 3, and The Last of Us.

It seems that The Initiative is looking for experienced people and we really hope to see what they’ve been working on so far. Maybe we will see some of it at E3 2019, although it would be a little too soon.

Nonetheless, Gallagher recently added that The Initiative would experiment with different games, so they’re “staying small” and “staying agile.”

One thing is true: The Initiative has a team that could easily compete with Rockstar Games or other devs like CD Projekt Red. Whatever The Initiative team is working on, we expect to see it in the next few years, and it better be breathtaking!
