Apple Might Implement In-Display Fingerprint Sensor in iPhone 11

The design of the iPhone X has been revolutionary, prompting other brands to develop a reasonably similar scheme in their new equipment. But even though, in its latest iPhone 2018 models, Apple did not offer anything new, other than an increase in size and a more powerful CPU, it seems that they have been planning on some new features for iPhone 11 and the other 2019 iPhone devices., including an in-display fingerprint sensor.

According to a tech news portal, Apple company, based in Cupertino, in the US, would be seriously considering the possibility of coming with a new fingerprint reader.

Although it doesn’t seem to be anything new, since this security mode had already been included in its previous devices, the giant tech firm would introduce n in-display fingerprint sensor, a function that other manufacturers, such as Samsung, have already implemented.

Accordingly, the new feature that the Cupertino-based company wants to implement in their next year’s iPhone 11 device would be the in-display fingerprint sensor. This new functionality would form an integral part of the screen, with a technology that has been named “In Display.” However, that’s not a premiere since Samsung, and other manufacturers have already implemented.

All these rumors arise from the fact that Apple seems to be conducting some negotiations and deals with Chinese companies such as the O-Film, which would become the leading suppliers of components to develop and implement this relatively new technology in Apple’s 2019 iPhone models.

It’s a predictable move since, so far, Apple’s newest devices have only Face ID and standard security features. The ability to include an in-display fingerprint sensor would make users’ interaction with the devices much more reliable and secure, so next year we may see a new iPhone with an “In Display” fingerprint reader.

Microsoft To Acquire A Medium-Sized Game Studio That Previously Worked On PlayStation Titles

Now, in the last month of the year, Microsoft has struggled to acquire some of the most potent studios in the video games industry. The most recent deal the tech giant pulled off has been the purchase of Obsidian Games, the creators of favorite games like Fallout: New Vegas or Pillars of Eternity. Obsidian joins a good sack of studios with a lot of potential where it shares the fame with Ninja Theory, also acquired by Microsoft. Now, Microsoft plans to purchase a game studio that previously developed PlayStation titles.

A Twitter user named “Klobrille” already gave information in the past regarding these negotiations, and, now, he has revealed something of great interest for the video games industry.

“Let’s make this Monday a little more interesting. I can say that Xbox is in advanced conversations (since a few months ago) with a medium-sized studio that has historically worked on several occasions with PlayStation [Sony]. I won’t give up any names as the negotiations are still going on, but it’s interesting nonetheless,” Klobrille said on Twitter.

As it’s about a medium-sized studio, several names are on the table. One of the most consensual occurrences according to the gaming community is Ready At Dawn, a studio responsible for The Order: 1886 or several God of War (Chains of Olympus and Ghosts of Sparta) titles for PlayStation Portable (PSP).

At the moment, that just a rumor, but the community has already started to think about the information revealed by Klobrille. Insomniac Games was also mentioned on several portals and forums, but the studio’s spokespersons denied it.

No matter what medium-sized studio is in question here, it comes at a good time because Microsoft recently claimed it would unleash the creativity of their studios, giving them total freedom to fulfill their “wildest dreams.”

Once activated, the commands you give will be executed in the background, meaning that the navigation information will not disappear from the screen while the Assistant performs the tasks.

You can use Google Assistant to make calls, send text messages, play music, and access some other useful features while driving, all without leaving the Google Maps application.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus Would Come Out With Five Cameras

Yesterday several renders of the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus were released. Although these are only conceptual designs, several sources close to Samsung have confirmed that this would be the final design of the new top-of-the-range smartphone that the South Korean giant company would launched in 2019.

Now, according to the new leaks, the Galaxy S10 Plus would boast a dual-camera setup under the touchscreen. Let’s remember that early rumors predicted a front camera invisible to the user. It seems that this will not be the case in the end.

With each passing day, we gradually learn about the features of the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10 Plus and S10 Lite. Last week the well-known youtuber Dave Lee made public a video with the supposed design of Samsung’s 2019 mobile phones. A week later we can finally confirm the look of the vitamin model.

In the images published by the Twitter user Ice Universe you can see that the device will come with a dual-camera on the front, located to the right of the screen. These cameras, unlike what was initially said, will be found under the touchscreen instead of the AMOLED panel, making them visible to the eyes of users.

The reasons could be due to the possible facial unlocking system that the Galaxy S10 Plus model would integrate in both sensors, although there is still nothing confirmed by the company.

Moreover, the Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus leaks confirmed the increase of the screen ratio with respect to the total size of the device and the integration of an in-display fingerprint sensor, as has been rumoured for some time.

The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus will be the only one of the three 2019 models to have a dual front camera, plus a three-sensor camera at the rear of the terminal. Its design could be quite similar to the one we can see in the image below and similar to the Samsung Galaxy A8s that will be presented next week.

In this last aspect, we will have to wait for new Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus leaks to know more details of the rest of the S10 models that will be presented during the Mobile World Congress in 2019.
