Pokemon Go 0.137.1 Rolled Out With Improvements

Pokemon Go Gets A Brand New Special Event – The Legendary Lunch Hour

Next week, Niantic decided to host a new special event in Pokemon Go, one they called The Legendary Lunch Hour. The company hopes that would be only the first of a series of events that the fans would love to play.

More specifically, Pokemon Go’s The Legendary Lunch Hour would start on Wednesday, March 13th, and would run between 12 PM and 1 PM local time. That means, regardless of where you live, The Legendary Lunch Hour would take place between the same hours. The whole idea behind the event, as the name suggests, is to offer the players a chance to participate in special Raid Battles during their lunch break.

Niantic itself admits that this new Pokemon Go special event is only experimental, and the fans are free to offer their feedback on The Legendary Lunch Hour mode. If Pokemon Go players enjoy it, Niantic will run this event weekly.

“To give you more ways to enjoy Pokémon GO, we’re trying out a new event called Legendary Lunch Hour! From 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in your local time zone, there will be an increased number of raids to test your battle skills alongside your friends, coworkers, and classmates. The first Legendary Lunch Hour will take place on March 13, and with your help, we hope to make this an event you can enjoy every week,” is how Niantic describes this new special even in Pokemon Go.

As mentioned above, The Legendary launch Hour would come with increased chances for Raid Battles. Also, the players have the opportunity to team up with classmates or colleagues to participate in Raid Battles during the lunch break, between 12 PM and 1 PM on Wednesday, next week.

However, this new Pokemon Go special event won’t be the only one next week. Niantic will also bring back the Gen 3 Legendary Rayquaza for the Raid Weekend event from March 15th to March 18th.

Pokemon Go Special Event Starts With New Shiny Pokemons Up For Grabs

Pokemon Go may have been released in the summer of 2016, but Niantic has been hard at work, keeping the game fresh and enjoyable by adding a constant stream of new and exciting features. Active players will be able to enjoy a new special event which will be available until March 12. During the Battle Showdown, lucky players will be able to catch two Shiny Pokemon.

Players who participate in the event will have a higher chance to catch fighter-type Pokemon monsters like Mankey, Machop, and Makuhita as they will spawn more often in the wild. Those that are lucky will be able to capture shiny versions of Mankey and Machop.

Other features are also offered during the event. If you catch a Pokémon, the quantity of Star Dust obtained for each one will be doubled, and the same bonus is available for fighting and raids. A double XP bonus is also active for Gym Badges.

Up to five rewards can be won each they from duels with other players and challenging team leaders will give you the chance to earn three rare rewards per day including Rare Candy. Niantic has also added the Power-Up Punch to the game as a permanent move which can be learned by select Pokémon.

Dialga, a new legendary Pokémon, has a chance to drop from raid battles until March 28. If you are looking forward to the monthly Community Day, the event has been scheduled for March 23, and it will be available for three hours. The featured Pokémon is Treecko, one of the starter Pokémon which were introduced in Generation 3. Treecko is a Grass-type and players will have a high chance to find it in wild areas. If players manage to evolve the Pokémon to the final form, Sceptil, in two hours or less the Pokémon will learn an exclusive move that won’t be available otherwise.

You’ll get Mankey for a battle in a gym. Also, you’ll have the chance to meet Machop in the wild for battling in the gym five times. Besides, if you win one gym battle, you’ll receive an opportunity to catch a Bulbasaur, Charmander or Squirtle.

However, if you are victorious in three or five gym battles, you’ll have the opportunity to encounter a Jynx or, respectively, a Lapras. Besides, for participating in raid battles, you can grab a Drowzee, while Omantye and Kabuto will appear more often in the wild if you win a level 3 or a higher raid.

If you win five raids, you’ll obtain higher chances to meet Aerodactyl, while you’ll get an Electabuzz encounter if you use a super-effective charge attack for seven times.

  • You’ll get a Starmie encounter if you grab three normal, electric or poisonous Pokemon
  • You’ll get an Anorith encounter, if you catch seven dark, flying or Psychic-type Pokemon
  • You’ll get a Kabuto encounter if you capture ten ice-type Pokemon.

New Pokemon GO Event Is Now Live: Shiny Rattata And Pidgey Are Now Available

February 27th is an important date for the Pokemon series, as it marks its 23rd anniversary. The game released a special Pokemon GO event that comes with numerous surprises for the players.
