Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus Vs. Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro – Design, Technical Specs, Cameras

Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus is a relatively new smartphone the Southe Korean tech giant released in September this year. Also, the Chinese smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro came to light earlier this month. Both phones boast some similarities, but also some differences in terms of design and technical specs, as well as regarding the cameras. Let’s see which is better!

Launched in September, earlier this month, the new Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus keeps the same design lines as the other smartphones of the Samsung J series. The new J6 Plus came out in red, black, and grey colors and showed nothing spectacular regarding its aspect. It’s nothing more than a standard Samsung J phone in this regard.

On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro boasts a higher screen-to-body ratio than Samsung J6 Plus and a notch. Coming out in various colors, gold, blue, black, red, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro seems a nice phone, regarding its design.

Samsung Galaxy J8 Plus comes with a 6-inch display at a resolution of 720×1480 pixels and an 18:5:9 aspect ratio. On the other hand, Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro boasts a higher screen-to-body-ratio but has only a 5.84-inch screen with a res of 1080×2280 pixels and 19:9 aspect ration. The Redmi 6 Pro also has a notch.

Under the hood, the Galaxy J6 Plus packs a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425, a 1.4GHz quad-core chipset, 4 Gb RAM, and 64 Gb internal storage, while the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro comes with a 2-GHz Octa-Core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 CPU. Besides, the Chinese smartphone also boasts 4 Gb RAM and 64 Gb internal memory.

The Chinese smartphone Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro packs a dual-camera system on its back with one sensor of 12 megapixels and another of 5 megapixels. On the front, it displays one 5-megapixel selfies camera with no LED-flash.

On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus comes with two rear cameras, one of 13 MP and another sensor of 5 MP. Better than Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, the J6 Plus smartphone packs an 8-megapixel front camera.

In conclusion, both smartphones are looking nice and perform excellently for two low-mid-range phones. But, the Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus seems to outperform Redmi 6 Pro regarding camera and multimedia performance, while the Chinese smartphone packs a better chipset than the South Korean device.

Fortnite Cross-Platform Play Finally Implemented By Sony On PlayStation 4

While this possibility seemed unrealistic for Fornite players and developers, now, the PS4 adopted cross-platform play. Fans of the famous Fortnite Battle Royale on PS4 will be able to compete with those that play the game on other platforms, such as Xbox, Android, Microsoft Windows, and so on.

For several months now, the possibility of allowing gamers that use different platforms to compete with each other has been a hot topic. Also, Fortnite, the game developed by Epic Games, continues to bring in new players and this very popularity made Xbox and Nintendo to accept cross-platform play last June, a measure that, before, nobody considered possible. However, Sony had been very skeptical on this one, arguing its refusal to join other manufacturers with commercial and security reasons.

Luckily, Sony changes its mind and now allows Fortnite cross-platform play.

Sony adopts Fortnite cross-platform play on PlayStation 4

The official announcement was made on the PlayStation blog by no other than Sony Interactive Entertainment President John Kodera. It states that “after a thorough evaluation, Sony has found a way to implement cross-platform play function support for some third-party content.”

The cross-platform play allows players on different platforms, be it Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, or smartphone, to play with each other online. So this feature was well-received by fans as it’s enhancing the multiplayer gameplay of the accepted titles. Also, according to Sony, the Japanese manufacturer is working now working on the cross-platform play for other titles than Fortnite, as well.

Available since today, the Fortnite cross-platform play on PlayStation 4 “will enable multi-platform gaming, progression, and commerce across PlayStation 4, Android, iOS, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Mac operating systems.” That is an important step forward for Sony and its PlayStation, but also for all gamers of the famous Battle Royale title.

World Of Warcraft: Classic To Be Playable on November 2nd

If you’re a World of Warcraft fan, then we have excellent news for you. On November 2nd, World of Warcraft: Classic will be playable at Blizzcon. However, there’s a catch. Namely, you should buy a Virtual Ticket to be able to play the demo.

“Shortly after the Blizzcon opening ceremony on November 2 (on or around 1 PM PDT), players will be able to download the same in-development BlizzCon World of Warcraft: Classic Demo that will be playable on the show floor,” Blizzcon said. “Players will have a chance to explore and enjoy a limited questing experience through a pair of classic early-level zones – one Horde and one Alliance – and experience firsthand our recreation of the original Azeroth,” Blizzard added.

However, the World of Warcraft: Classic servers will go live immediately after the opening ceremony of the Blizzcon, but everyone who remembers the launch of WoW servers knows that there is a waiting time.

In a bonus video released by Blizzard, the game developer confirmed that a World of Warcraft: Classic panel would also be included during the Blizzcon conference. During the meeting, Blizzcon plans to present where they stand with the new game’s progress and what we should expect. Also, Blizzcon will reveal the challenges they had to overcome to the technical difficulties of porting ancient code.

Ion Hazzikostas, the director of the World of Warcraft: Classic game, announced that the demo would be playable from November 2nd until November 8th, but suggested that the period could be extended. On the other hand, Hazzikostas said nothing about the full version’s release date so all we have to do is wait for the Blizzcon conference when the game developer might present us some more details on World of Warcraft: Classic.

The new Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 will be the first Samsung’s three-camera smartphone to arrive in the fall of 2018. On the other hand, the Oppo F9 was announced by the Chinese manufacturer since August 2018 after a series of leaks that somehow revealed some of its characteristics. Now, between Samsung Galaxy A 7 2018 and Oppo F9, which is better?

The new Samsung Galaxy A7 2018 would come out with some premiere features for Samsung because it is the first three-camera smartphone released by the giant South Korean technology company.
