iOS 13 Will Integrate More Third-Party Apps to Siri

iOS 13 is planning to allow developers to integrate third-party applications into Siri. This means that the additional third-party apps will include new use cases. We are talking about features like media playback, voice calls, search, message attachments, event ticketing, flights, airport gate and seat information, train trips, and many more. Guilherme Rambo is saying that other developer features will come to iOS 13.

About What Third-Party Apps Are We Talking?

There will be several significant improvements to iOS. For example, iOS apps are ported to Mac through Apple’s Marzipan platform. By doing this, users will be able to take advantage of the MacBook Pro’s Touch Bar, the keyboard shortcuts, and multiple windows. The integration of iOS to Mac is the same as the iPad support to an iPhone app.

Moreover, Apple’s ARKit is getting improvements as well. With the help of augmented reality (AR) development framework, a lot of new features will be included. The developers are allowed to create AR experience visually and to go bigger, even a Swift-powered development framework for AR.

iOS 13 Will Be Revealed This Summer

Furthermore, developers will have access to other development frameworks like the Taptic Engine, or document scanning. The most exciting feature will be the ability to bring photos into the app from SD cards, and this could be realized without importing then to Apple’s photo app first. Also, NFC will receive significant improvements and the ability for third-party developers to read ISO7816, FeliCa, or MiFare tags. Some extensions will be improved to certain apps on the Mac, like Dropbox to integrate with Finder.

Finally, Apple will reveal iOS 13, tvOS 13, MacOS 10.15 and WatchOS 6 on June 3 with the WWDC keynote address. After that developers will get immediate access to the first beta, and the public betas will come later to the members of the open program. The final version could be released in September.

Pokemon Go Community Day for May Brings Torchic, The Gen 3 Pokemon

Niantic Labs has recently announced next month’s Community Day, adding details about the Pokemon that will be featured during the event.

Pokemon Go: May Community Day

The event will take place on Sunday, May 19, and it will run for three hours, as usual. It will start at 3 PM and end at 6 PM local time. During those three hours, players can earn three times more Stardust for every Pokemon they get to catch. Lure Modules will also get boosted to be active for three hours.

The incoming Community Day will feature a Gen 3 Pokemon – Torchic. This Gen 3 Pokemon, is a Fire-type monster that will appear in the wild more often than normal so that players can easily add it to their collection.

Looking back at the past Community Day events, players should also have a chance at catching a Shiny Torchic. If you can evolve a Torchic into Blaziken up to 7 PM during the Community Day event, you will earn an exclusive move. So far, Niantic hasn’t revealed the special move. However, we should learn about it in the week of the event.

For more information on the event, go to the official Pokemon website.

Current Events – Eggstravaganza, Shiny Meltan

Until the Community Day in May begins, here’s what you can do:

Catch a Shiny Buneary and hatch as many baby Pokemon as you can, because the Pokemon annual Eggstravaganza event will end on April 23.

Also, you can catch the rare Mythical Pokemon Shiny Meltan if you open a mystery box that you can get from Pokemon: Let’s Go, Pikachu or Eevee (you just have to own a game or know someone who owns the game to transfer you on Pokemon from those games to Pokemon Go). You can open the Mystery Box starting with April 24 – 4 PM ET, until May 5 – 4 PM ET. A Meltan might appear once you open the box, and it can even be Shiny!

Disney Might Purchase A Huge Gaming Company, Nexon

Disney is not just a company that produces animation movies for children. When we say Disney nowadays we talk about a huge business which is slowly taking over a large section of entertainment. Disney appears to be expanding in the gaming world, as well, and plans to buy a gaming company.

Disney would acquire a huge gaming company

According to a report published by The Central Times, Disney plans to purchase Nexon, a Korean PC and mobile gaming company. The company is a giant of gaming, and Disney intends to buy it for $13.2 billion.

A Disney representative already approached chairman Jung-Ju Kim, who owns 98 percent of the company. They discussed to find a deal that works for both of them. This might be precisely what Jung-Ju Kim was waiting for, as reports indicate that the chair has been trying to sell his stake since January.

While Nexon received many other offers, Disney might be the winner in this situation. Sources report that Kim is, in fact, a fan of Disney and appreciates the company, which is something that could sweeten the deal even more.

The Nexon company

Nexon isn’t that well known in Western countries, but it is a crucial gaming company in Japan and South Korea. The company has around 80 titles and 7000 employees, and it was founded back in 1994. One of the most successful projects of Nexon was the MapleStory series. Disney might want to purchase the company in order to reach a new market.

Nexon is well known for mobile gaming, which is a sector that Disney hasn’t explored yet. Nothing is official, however, and Disney and Nexon didn’t discuss their deal with the public. There’s also a chance that Nexon will accept another offer. At the end of the day, we can only wait to see how things will evolve.

The Elder Scrolls 6 Detail You Might Have Not Noticed

The next game in The Elder Scrolls franchise that everyone is expecting to hear about is The Elder Scrolls 6. Sure, we just got a little TES on our mobile phones – The Elder Scrolls: Blades, but we’re all waiting for the sixth game in the series that will come out… eventually.

Right now, there is no official news about the game, but remember that lawsuit over the name Redfall? The one where everyone thought it would be the subtitle and hint the location of the game?

It seems that the game will be based in Hammerfell, and here is why it would make sense.

“The Elder Scrolls VI: Hammerfell”

When Bethesda celebrated the 25th anniversary, they revealed some footage of the games they released in the past, and thanks to this video, we realized that the developer has begun working on The Elder Scrolls 6 and that the location will be Hammerfell, probably focusing on the Red Guards.

You all saw the video and noticed a desert-like landscape, and it can only be Hammerfell, from where the Red Guards appear in Skyrim (which also got featured in the video). Now, connecting the previous “Redfall” issue with Red Guards and Hammerfell, it makes sense. If the lawsuit is not in favor for Bethesda and they cannot use the name Redfall, the next best choice would be Hammerfell, since it will be the location name, just like in Skyrim.

Also, these old images support the theory:

As for an official release date, there isn’t one. Unfortunately, the Elder Scrolls 6 will not make an appearance at E3, but since the production on the game slowly began in 2018, it The Elder Scrolls 6 (Hammerfell?) might be launched by the end of 2020, hopefully before the holidays.

Speculations aside, we all know the NPC that will make it to the next game: the awesome player known as “Skyrim Grandma,” Shirley Curry! Thanks to the petition signed by thousands of people, she will be immortalized in TES6!

WhatsApp Messenger 2.19.109 Beta Released Today, New Features Coming Soon

The latest WhatsApp beta version has just been released today, reaching v. 2.19.109. WhatsApp is working on introducing an improvement to the animated stickers.

As we noticed on WABetaInfo, this feature is still being worked on:

  • The Animated Stickers feature is not available yet.
  • WhatsApp is working on the feature in recent Android, iOS and Web updates, adding a lot of improvements and bug fixes. For this reason it’s ok if you have updated your WhatsApp version and you don’t see the feature. It will be available in future for everyone.

We will see the animated stickers in the stickers pack. Users will be able to see the full animation of the sticker in the preview (unlike GIFs which we only see for a few seconds).

WhatsApp for iOS is also getting support for Animated Stickers. Users of WhatsApp for Web will get to see Animated Stickers, too.

As for when the feature will be enabled in the stable WhatsApp version, there is no official announcement. In the Beta version, it works well, and it will support third-party stickers as well.

If you’re in the beta program, you can download WhatsApp 2.19.109 beta  (- APK Mirror link to WhatsApp APK file) and enjoy other bug fixes and improvements, as well as testing the stickers.

Screenshots in Chat Getting Changed

Among the many other new features planned for the stable WhatsApp version of this app, the team at WABetaInfo also spotted a new strange change that would be introduced in the future. In WhatsApp beta for Android 2.19.106 update, they saw a new feature that will make it more difficult for users to take screenshots of the chat.

So the option will not make it impossible to take screenshots of the chat, but all users enabling authentication with fingerprint will not be able to take screenshots anymore.
