PlayStation 5 Technical Specs Revealed by Mark Cerny From Sony

We have some new information from Sony, some little teasers about the next-generation console. Those details come from Mark Cerny, the lead system architect of PlayStation 4, which reveals some details about the new coming console, the PlayStation 5.

The name of the future console isn’t yet confirmed. Cerny gives valuable information about the next-gen PlayStation. The fact that is based on PS4 architecture that it’s backward compatible and that it’s not coming only in digital format device, it will have as well physical disc.

Cerny says that the transition from PS4 to PS5 is a gentle one, numerous games will be released for both consoles, and that PlayStation 5 will be an iteration of its previous model, not very different like it happened to the PS3 and its predecessor.

PlayStation 5 technical specs

PlayStation 5 will have an AMD chip with a CPU based on the third-generation Ryzen, with eight cores of seven-nanometer Zen 2 microchip, and will support 8K resolution.

Moreover, the graphics will be driven by a custom version of Radeon’s Navi line, and it can support ray tracing. The audio will be the best improvements on the new device. With the AMD chip, they can enable 3D sound for a better immersing of the player. The hard drive, on the other hand, will probably be a solid-state drive, towards the other equivalents in current consoles are slower. We know that an SSD is found in laptops now, but Sony wants to bring it and use it on the new PlayStation, and it will be specialized for the hardware.

However, this shared architecture between the two models will create a smooth path for games being developed on one of them, and later to appear on the other one. Other more information wasn’t given; it is still unclear when PS5 will be revealed and when they will launch it since Sony hadn’t participated to E3 this year.

Clash Royale Version 2.7.0: Massive Changes and New Features in The April Update

The latest update from Clash Royale was quite massive. Clash Royale Version 2.7.0 was just released this week, and it introduced many changes and a lot of content. Let’s break down the release notes below.

Trophy Road in Clash Royale – the New 1v1 Clash Royale Reward System

The Clash Royale team introduced a new reward system in the game called Trophy Road. It will follow your progress and give you rewards as you win more trophies, also allowing you to speed the progress.

At the end of the League Season, you can collect the rewards again, as the Trophy Road progress will reset. The bad news here is that you won’t get a League Chest because the rewards are won as you progress, and not at the end.

Trophy road will give rewards such as gems, gold, chests, cards, trade tokens, and emotes, and the higher your Trophy count, the better rewards you will get.

Trophy Gate is a new feature that will work as a safety net when you reach a new arena and lose some games. You will remain in the same arena, and for example, if you hit 4,000 Trophies, you won’t drop under the Legendary Arena’s Trophy Gate. You will drop through the rankings though.

Progressing is even faster with Chest Speed Up Boosts which you receive as you reach a new arena. It will unlock 24 hours of Chest Speed Up Boost to prepare for the current arena.

You can also look through the incoming rewards to know what’s coming.

Two new Leagues are available:

Royal Champion – 6,600 Trophies

Ultimate Champion – 7,000 Trophies

The New Card: Earthquake

This card costs 3 Elixir to cast. It is a Rare Spell that does damage over time.

Use it on buildings, as it deals damage to Crown Towers and 400% damage the rest of the buildings. You can also use it as an AoE attack to damage and slow troops on the ground. The spell will only work on ground units, as it only affects whatever stands on the ground.

New Prestige Levels

There are also new Prestige Levels for the following cards: Rocket, Goblin Hut, Knight, Balloon, Zappies, Skeleton Army, Barbarian Hut, Skeleton Barrel, Magic Archer.

The Event Tab

Check out all the events, such as Global Tournaments, Challenges, Limited Time Game Modes, Grand Challenges & Classic Challenges, in a new tab named ‘Event.’

Other Changes

Among the new features, we also got many changes to the UI, some tweaks and additional features which you can check out on the official Clash Royale website.

Clash of Clans Gold Pass Is Increasing Revenues with 145%

The newest and hotness in gaming monetization have been given by the battle passes introduced in the games. Clash o Clans especially had made $27 million during the week that the Gold Pass has debuted. Gold Pass has increased the game’s revenue up to 145% over the week, and about 2.5 times for the free-to-play mobile game. The analysts say that the amount of money spent per day was around $3.9 million during the first week of Gold Pass.

What Are Battle Passes?

Battle passes known as season passes is the modern and popular way to monetize a game after it’s being launched. Those battles passes are like a two-edged sword, because when you start to play the game you will want to progress, and for doing that you have to unlock new items. For doing that you have to pay so, you will continue playing. So the battle passes are not only making money with the players, but they encourage the users to play the game more and more.

Moreover, other online games have adopted the system, games like Rocket League and Apex Legends. On the mobile area, Fortnite is the game that had encouraged the modern season pass. Some time ago, games like Call of Duty would be the ones that sell season pass for granting access to the story-based or to the multiplayer content which you can download. Things are changing, games are changing, and now the passes are focusing on the cosmetics earned through playing.

Finally, Clash of Clans Gold Pass has increased the revenue so much that the game is now in the top five games for iPhone games in 46 countries. Since the game was launched in 2012, and the first battle pass was introduced in 2017, Clash of Clans had occupied No. 1 in the U.S. App Store. A Gold Pass is only $5 in the U.S.
